Warriors forward David Lee has been named the NBA Western Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday, January 28, through Sunday, February 3, the NBA announced today.

In four games last week, Lee averaged 18.0 points, 14.3 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 1.00 steal, while shooting 51.7 percent from the field, leading the Warriors to a perfect 4-0 record. The 6-9 forward became the first NBA player to post four-consecutive games with at least 15 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists since Kevin Garnett did so in April of 2003. Lee posted four double-doubles to extend his NBA-leading season total to 31, and also registered two games with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds – giving him a league-leading 19 such performances for the season.

The award is the second this season for Lee, who previously earned the honor for the week ending December 16, making him the first Warriors player to be named Player of the Week twice in the same season since Baron Davis won consecutive weekly awards in April of 2005. He is the third player this season to win multiple Western Conference Player of the Week honors, joining Kevin Durant (four) and James Harden (two). Overall this is the third career weekly honor for Lee, who also earned the Eastern Conference accolade on February 1, 2009, as a member of the New York Knicks. This is the 30th time a Warriors player has been named Player of the Week since the NBA began giving out the award in 1979.

In 46 games this season, the seven-year veteran is averaging 19.4 points (T12th in NBA), 11.1 rebounds (sixth) and 4.0 assists while shooting 51.4 percent from the field. Lee has helped the Warriors to a 30-17 record thus far, marking the team’s best record thru 47 games since the 1991-92 campaign. He was selected as a reserve for the Western Conference All-Star team, becoming the first Warriors player to earn the honor since 1997.

Chicago’s Nate Robinson earned Player of the Week honors in the Eastern Conference.
