More like a lightening strike rather than quickstrike, it looks like the highly touted Air Jordan 1 “XQ” will be making a return, and as early as this week. Rumored to have been apart of the Nike Shanghai Footwear Collection as per the teaser video recently released, we find these new images as confirmation of a release. The shoes’ lore dates back to 2007 when the initial release was said to only have 240 pairs, with each having its own serial number for verification.
Fast forwarding to today we see the rare kicks again (though many have never seen them) in a black, sport red, and gold dust colorway. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Xing Qi” feature black around the toe box and on the heel. The toe box itself is white and as is the middle panel. A fiery sport red is present on the lace area, tongue, and upper. A regal golden color takes care of the swoosh, laces, and stitching throughout the shoes. Another nice feature is Jordan lasering detail on several parts of the sneakers. And like the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG – Black/Metallic Gold, they also feature a speckled gold translucent sole.
As dope as the kicks are it won’t be easy for most to attain them as they seem to be limited China. Nike Shanghai will stock them as well as Jordan retailers in the surrounding area. The set date for them is this Friday, July 26th.
